iZone needed !

Dear world,
Mom has always been on Eastern or Pacific time, so prime time to her is from 8 - 11pm. Now that we are in the Central time zone, Mom keeps missing her 8:00 TV shows because they come on at 7:00. She catches her 9:00 shows because they are on when she thought her 8:00 shows were on. Sometimes she misses the 9:00 show if she didn't have an 8:00 show planned. She pretty much always catches the 10:00 shows because she realizes it by 9:00. Wow. And of course, her sleeping patterns are all messed up which impacts mine. This all got me to thinking that something is needed to automatically switch one's body's time zone. I know! They need to invent the iZone.
Love always,
Bear

  2. Tell mom to get a TiVo. She can record her programs and watch when she wants and not have to worry about what time they are on. My mom has TiVo and she loves it.

  3. Oh dear - my brain is befuddled now just thinking about your problem. I has enough trouble figuring out when a pawpawty starts once a month.

  4. Pumpkinpuddy is right... I was going to say it myself. your life changes completely when you acquire one of those so called PVR. You watch what you want, when you want. no cassettes to deal with. is 100 times easier than a VCR.

  5. Thx for the suggestions everyone. Mom has a problem with TIVO especially with reality TV shows. There are too many spoilers, so she likes to watch shows when everyone else watches them. And she feels if she misses a show it is really no big deal, it is only TV.

  7. Bear, your mom will grow to love the central time zone! You get to see all your shows earlier and then go to bed right after the 10:00 news! :)

  8. My mom says tell your mom about this wonderful thing called a D-V-R. My mom needs one because she works too much and comes home when her shows are over. She catches them up on the weekends but your mom could just watch them at the times she used to. And the good thing is you get to skippy the commercials!
