Oscar Fashion

Dear world,
We watched the Oscars last night. Rosy's favorite part was the Red Carpet. She picked a few of her favorites. She wants to try to make a copy of one of the dresses, but she can't decide which would look best on her. What do you think?

The Oscars

Dear world,
Ever since last year when I visited Hollywood during the Oscars, I always tried to imagine what it would be like to be part of it. Then I dreamed that I was the host and Rosy was co-host. When I woke up I thought, what a great idea, male and female co-hosts! I guess the Oscar people overheard my dream.

Rosy's Updo

Dear world,
When Rosy went to the salon the other day, the groomer asked her how she wanted her hair to look. Since Rosy is a big fan of Scarlett Johansson, she requested the updo that she wore to the Golden Globes. She thought the groomer did a good job, but Mom wouldn't let her keep it. She said she looked like Rosy, bride of Frankenstein. But Rosy still keeps trying.

FuzzBuzz:Tug of ball

Dear world,
Unlike my brother Bear, I am not too interested in tennis balls. However, when my Dad challenged me to tug-of-ball, I was glad to oblige. He pulled and pulled and I just followed him. I didn't pull back too hard because I didn't want to hurt him. I love my Dad, so of course I let him win.

Fuzzy

My new neighbor

Dear world,
While I was in Hawaii, a new neighbor arrived. His name is Dash. I havent been able to meet him yet cause he is too little. But Mom went over and took pictures so we could see him. Isn't he totally adorable? He is a golden and it seems he likes sticks. Maybe we are related?

Beach Dolphin

Dear world,
On my last day in Hawaii, I took a walk on the beach. And alas, there was a dolphin! When I looked closer, I saw that it was made out of sand. Someone was very creative. I think I will try making a dolphin out of snow when I get home. (assuming it will snow again). Although that may be a problem since Fuzz eats snow.

WhaleWatching

Dear world,
Maui is one of the best spots to see humpback whales, especially now when they are birthing and mating. So of course I decided to go on a whale watching trip. And boy did we see whales. We saw so many Mommy whales with their babies, and male escort whales. We even had dolphins playing alongside our boat. And then they put a microphone in the water and we got to hear the whales sing! It made me want to study to become a marine biologist. Another career to put on my consideration list.

Bear

PS. I would recommend going whalewatching with Pacific Whale Foundation Eco Adventures. They are a non-profit organization who promotes appreciation, understanding and protection of whales through marine research, education and conservation. To learn more about them and the whales, go to www.pacificwhale.org .

Hawaiian Massage

Dear world,
I have heard my Mom and Dad talk about how wonderful massages are. So I decided that I should have one on my Hawaiian vacation. I chose an outdoor poolside massage. Wow. It really felt good and I understand it helps reduce stress. Maybe I should start getting a weekly massage at home in Memphis. I would do it cause it feels good. I really dont have any stress.

A Hawaiian afternoon with Rosy

Dear world,
One day while Fuzz was taking a nap, Rosy and I decided to go to the beach. We had a lot of fun swimming and chasing the ball. We even met a sea turtle! Then we got hungry and went poolside for lunch. Fuzz was a bit peeved that we didn't wake him from his nap. Ya snooze ya lose.

The Luau

Dear world,
Of course being in Hawaii, we had to go to a Luau. While Fuzz and Rosy waited for the show to begin, I went backstage as an audience participation volunteer. I was pretty scared at first, but I got a standing ovation for my fire-dancing performance. Mahalo! (that means Thank you in Hawaiian).

My Hawaiian vacation: My hotel

Dear world,
Hawaii. is so wonderful, I thought I would share some pictures. Here I am on my terrace in Grand Wailea Resort on Maui. It was a really beautiful view. I couldnt let Rosy on the terrace because I was afraid she would jump off chasing the birds that flew by. Fuzz is with me, he took a pretty good picture, don't ya think?

Winter Break

Dear world,
I have always heard about people taking Winter break. So it got me to thinking, why not a WinterBreak for me? I have been blogging for over a year, so I think I deserve a break. I decided I would go to Hawaii . So I got decked out to go. Then Fuzz and Rosy asked me if they could go too. Well of course, being a good brother, I had to say yes. Please note, we do not have a private jet. We are taking a vacation in our minds because it is much less complicated.
So we are off on our vacation. Aloha!

Stick Collection

Dear world,
I am very proud of my stick collection. Every time we go on the golf course for a walk, I find a stick, bring it home and put it by the door. The other day I got the biggest stick ever. I tried to bring it inside. I thought I could hang it on the wall like some people do with big fish they catch. Mom said when I have my own house I can hang sticks on the wall. Yah, like that's ever going to happen.

No Pig Ears

Dear world,
When we were at the pet store, Rosy was interested in these pig ears. I told her that Mom won't get them for us because she thinks they are gross. So yesterday Rosy told me that she had pig ears. I asked her where she got them. She showed me her little pig baby. No more ears. I guess Rosy gets what Rosy wants.

Superbowl Sunday

Dear world,
Today is SuperBowl Sunday in the US. It's the Green Bay Packers vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. I don't have a favorite, but I have friends that do. So I decided I will just be diplomatic as usual and root for both teams. But the cheese does look awfully good.
Good luck to all!

Unsuccessful Photo Shoot

Dear world,
Mom usually is pretty good with pictures. But the other day was a problem. First, she thought she had this beautiful scenic bridge on the golf course so she made us pose. But there was no water under the bridge so all you saw was two big empty cylinders. And if cropped it doesn't look like a bridge. It may have turned out OK if Rosy wasn't flapping her ear. I am sure this means another photo shoot on the other golf course bridge with water. I will be careful where I stand next time.

FuzzBuzz: Will she be my Valentine?

Dear world,
I asked Rosy to be my Valentine. So did Bear. She is making us wait for an answer. I am pretty sure she likes Bear better than me. She snuggles next to him. She growls at me. Who's going to be my Valentine if Rosy says no?
Forever,
Fuzzy

Not a Good Image

Dear world,
I did a blog post a few weeks ago about Mom taking pics of me on a pile of Golden Leaves. The leaves were so pretty and so were the pictures. Well the other day, when I passed the same spot I saw those leaves again. Only this time they were in lots and lots of plastic bags. When asked, I told Mom I would not go on a pile of plastic bags filled with leaves to pose for a picture. Those bags are not environmentally responsible. And a golden on garbage is not an image I want to project.

Bear does Beale Street

Dear world,
Living in Memphis, I have heard so much about Beale Street, so Mom and Dad took me there. I got major nose hits of barbeque pork and tapped my paws to the sounds of Rock n' Roll, Blues and Jazz blaring from the clubs and alleyways. Yes, I could feel the soul of Memphis on Beale Street.
Love always,
Bear

PS. This is a great week to visit. Today Beale Street kicks off the International Blues Challenge. . Y'all can read about it here.. www.bealestreet.com and here www.blues.org

GroundHog Pressure

Dear world,
Tomorrow is GroundHog Day. If it is cloudy, the GroundHog will leave his burrow and winter will end soon. But if it is sunny, and he sees his shadow, he retreats into his burrow and winter continues longer. So I guess, people do not want it to be sunny tomorrow. I don't think I would want to be a groundhog, way too much pressure.

Bear
