Happy Easter !

Dear world,
Before we got to do our Easter Egg hunt, we had to make Mom happy and do a Bunny ears photo shoot. This year, I thought I would be different and also wear my spring hat. Of course, Rosy insisted on wearing her spring dress and sparkly ears. Annie dealt with it cause she knew if she was good she would get to do the hunt for cookies (they were inside the eggs!) Yum!
Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Roll !

Dear world,
Today Mom was preparing for our Easter egg hunt. She left all the eggs on the grass, so I went to check them out. As I sniffed I got the aroma of freshly (organically, pesticide free) fertilized grass and I couldnt resist. I put my ball down and started rolling. I just love rolling on the grass. And it was especially fun cause it was an egg roll!

Egg Decorating

Dear world,
Yesterday we did our Easter egg decorating. I know Annie had never done this before because she kept asking me when we were going to eat the eggs. I had to be keep my eye on Rosy because I know she wanted to use the pink dye on Annie. We ended up making Pirate eggs! Rosy didn’t want to make a pirate, so I suggested a shark. Of course her shark ended up being pink.

Matzoh Pizza

Dear world,
I read back on my Passover blogpost to remind me what it involves. And then I remembered we cant have bread. So I was bummed cause that would mean no pizza for 8 days. But Mom told me not to worry. She got Matzoh and the fixings, and she made us a Matzoh pizza ! We love Passover!

Annie's antics

Dear world,
Here is an example of Annie's antics. Mom let Annie off leash as part of her training. She went a bit too far so Mom called her to come back. So instead of taking the long way to come back to Mom, we watched as Annie took a short cut through a swampy part of water. Annie thought Mom would be so proud since she came back so quickly. I know she is really trying hard to be a good girl, but Rosy says that Annie is failing miserably at Princess training.

Bamboo stick

Dear world,
The other day at the beach I came across this big bamboo stick. It was very nostalgic for me. It reminded me of my stick collection at my house in Memphis; I was going to take it back home and start a new California collection. But Mom gave me that look, and I understood that is not going to happen. So I told Mom that I am thinking of mailing it to the Pandas in the zoo. I hear they like to eat it. And there was that classic Mom eye roll.

Red Carpet Birthday

Dear world,
Today is my human sister Sydne's birthday. So the girls and I thought it would be so much fun if we could roll out the red carpet for her birthday. And in true Hollywood fashion, we stopped for the paparazzi to take a picture of all of us. Well, we hope she truly does have a red carpet birthday, cause to all of us she is a a really big star! We love you Sydne! Happy Birthday !

Painting

Dear world,
Mom takes a lot of pictures of Annie.  I think her coloring looks so pretty on my beach. This is one of my  fave pictures. It gets me to thinking what it must be like to be a painter. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to create the vision of what you see with a paint brush on canvas? I wonder if Annie would model for me?

St Patrick's Day

Dear world,
And here we are again with seasonal holiday garb. This time its for St. Patrick's Day. Well, we are actually part Irish so there is truly reason to celebrate. I am just really hoping that I don't have to wear this hat in public. Rosy on the other paw, refuses to take her tiara off. She is now a self proclaimed Irish Princess.
Happy St. Patricks Day!

Ides of March

Dear world,
Yesterday I heard someone say, "Beware the Ides of March". I asked my Mom what that meant. Gosh, I had no idea I was in for a history lesson! It was the day that Julius Ceasar was assassinated. The saying was made famous by William Shakepeare (my fave playwright). - from Julius Ceasar, Act III, Scene I
Caesar: The ides of March are come.
Soothsayer: Aye, Caesar, but not gone.
So what that means is some Pyschic said something bad is going to happen to Ceasar by March 15th. When Ceasar saw him that day he said "Hah! Nothing has happened to me! And the Psychic, cause its his job to know, said - "Dont be so sure Big Guy!

Sea Wishbone

Dear world.
The other day at the beach, Annie and Rosy showed Mom that they found a wishbone and they wanted her to help them break it. Rosy was already strategizing how she was going to get the big piece so she could make a wish. Mom explained to them that it was a piece of seaweed and not a bone. They said they wanted to try anyway. Mom said no cause she knew it would spell disaster if Rosy didnt win. Smart Mom.

Memphis comes to Del Mar

Dear world,
Yesterday, I woke up from my nap and heard familiar voices. Huh? Am I dreaming or did we go back to Memphis while I was sleeping? And then I saw my friends from Memphis. They came all the way to my house in California so that they could get to see and take me to my dog beach! We had so much fun! I wish they could move to California too and of course bring Dash, their Golden Retriever. I could help transform him into a beach dog!

Beards

Dear world,
Like I dont have enough, Mom loves to get me facial fur. I have had mustaches, eyebrows, and now Mom brought me home beards ! However, I lucked out this time. There was no where on my face to try on these beards ! (The last time I successfully had a beard was when I lived in Memphis.)

Belly and Burger

Dear world,
Yesterday was a very interesting day. I thought I went to the vet cause my ear hurt. But supposedly I was acting lethargic so there was cconcern. So they shaved my belly and lifted me up on this table and two nice girls held my paws. Then they put cold stuff on my belly and started giving me a massage. I was so comfy that I took a nap. When I awoke, everyone was talking and smiling. I was fine. Mom and Dad took me to celebrate at Smashburger. YUM! I don't know what we were celebrating, but I am very happy to get a long cold belly rub followed by a hamburger anytime!

Frozen Treat

Dear world,
Today is National Frozen Food Day in the U.S. (Yes, seriously.) I asked Dad if he would get us a frozen treat when he went out to get his frozen yogurt treat. So we get to celebrate the day with one of our fave frozen foods - Frosty Paws. (No, this isn't a sponsored post, I just love the stuff!). How are you going to celebrate Frozen Food Day?

Bear
PS. Rosy as usual is watching her calories so she did not eat her cup. More for me and Annie!

Old Town Rooster

Dear world,
A few weeks ago we went to Old Town San Diego. We strolled around and in front of a store I met a rooster! I never saw a real rooster before. I asked him if he would say cock-a-doodle-doo. He told me that would cost $5.00.  I told him I only had one dollar. He said he doesn't discount. So I guess I will have to just to watch a rooster on YouTube.

Day off

 Dear world,
I get to go swimming every other day. Mom says I cant go everyday cause its bad for my tummy. So yesterday I went for a beach walk with my family. I longed to go swim with my ball in the ocean. Mom said no. But it was really warm so I decided it would be OK to just lay down in the water. I went in just enough to avoid a bath.
