Ya wanna bet?

Dear world,
My new brother, Fuzzy is a Golden mix. There is all this discussion as to what his mix is. I am not sure why it is so important to know. Everyone asks, even strangers. Not sure why they care. Anyway, Mom said she will do the DNA test, so I guess we will know eventually. I am thinking this may be a money making opportunity for me. I can start a betting pool. Since I will take the bets, I will get a percentage of all bets and the rest will be the winnings. So ya think maybe 50% or is that too much?

Chasing Cheese

Dear world,
For Mother's Day, BunnyBell bought her Mom the Doggy Bone Cookbook. How smart was that! So last night Mom and Sydne (BunnyBell's Mom who is my human sis) decided to make us dog bones! They looked through the book and chose the Chasing Cheese dog bones. They were major yum city. My dad was really bummed that they weren't ready before he went to sleep. But I saved him one for the morning. He could have it with his eggs. What a perfect breakfast. Maybe I will make them again with my Mom for Father's Day.

Monkey bed

Dear world,
For BunnyBell's visit, Mom bought her a sock monkey bed. BunnyBell loved it and went in it whenever we were in the family room. But then Fuzzy thought it looked more like a toy then a bed. So he decided it should be his sock monkey. You may think that Fuzzy would win, cause he's such a big boy. But you don't know BunnyBell. She barked and growled at Fuzzy, and she won her bed back. I'm so proud of BunnyBell for sticking up for herself. And I really need to teach Fuzzy better manners.
Love always,
Bear

Mother's Days

Dear world,
Today is officially Mother's Day. It is the day that we are supposed to celebrate and honor our mothers. But if that is the definition, everyday is Mother's Day for me. While I like all humans, Mom is my favorite person in the whole world. I follow her around at all times. I always have to be in the same room she is in sitting or lying down as close as possible to her. I always keep my eyes directly on her except when I am asleep. And even then, I am usually dreaming about her. I love my mom so much. From now on, I will just wish her Happy Mother's Day everyday.
Love always,
Bear

Blondes have more fun

Dear world,
This weekend my human sis and her dog BunnyBell (my niece) came to visit us in Memphis. While she was excited to see me, she was a bit overwhelmed by both of us Goldens together. (Fuzzy is part Golden). And I think she was a bit intimidated by Fuzzy initially. Yesterday she got upset when Fuzzy started wrestling with her mommy. Then this morning, Fuzzy started eating her breakfast before she was finished (I told her he did that to me too). So I felt bad and decided to make BunnyBell an honorary Golden. She liked that since she always heard blondes have more fun.

Toe Twins

Dear world,
One thing I forgot to mention about Fuzzy. He had an x-ray last Friday and was told he had a broken toe. Mom and Dad started laughing about it. I didn't think that was very nice. But then I realized why they were laughing. My mom had a bone scan last Friday and they told her that her toe had a stress fracture (fancy medical words for a broken toe). So they are toe twins! How weird is that? So both of them are supposed to rest it as much as possible. Gotta tell you, I am a bit jealous. Fuzzy has something to bond with Mom that I don't. Maybe I should break my toe? Nah. I will just use this time to bond with Dad since we have no broken toes in common.
Love always,
Bear
P.S. Yes, Fuzzy has a BIG foot. Mom wears a size 8 1/2 US, 6 UK.

Bunny in a bag

Dear world,
I am very excited. My human sis Sydne and niece BunnyBell are coming to visit today! Bunny has been practicing staying in a carry on bag. She doesn't like it. She is appalled that just cant sit in her own seat. She is paying enough for one! I'm glad I went by private jet. I don't think I would do well in one of those bags either. And who would have carried me?

Give peace a chance

Dear world,
So far my new brother Fuzz is pretty cool. However, there are some issues. Like yesterday he wanted to play tug-of-war with my toy. I don't play war games, I believe in peace. And then there is the food. The other day, I was leisurely having my breakfast and he finished eating his breakfast bowl. Next thing I know he comes over and starts eating mine! I immediately ran away and let him eat it. Again, because I don't believe in war, I didn't want to play food war either. Looks like I will lose those recommended pounds after all. That's OK, all I need is love.

A day at the Spa

Dear world,
My mom was talking about going to a spa . I asked her what happens at a spa. She told me how it works and then I decided that I would like to go to a spa. I would change into a robe and slippers that they give me. I would skip the steam room. Does not sound appealing. I would book an hour Swedish massage. I assume that would come with meatballs. Facials sound weird and forget the nail treatments. But then I would go for a swim, assuming someone would toss a ball for me. Then I would go to a lounge chair and take a nap. Sounds perfect. Maybe I can go with her for Mother's Day? (Fuzzy can hang at home with Dad.)

Tornado warning

Dear world,
I had my first experience with tornado warnings this weekend. On Friday night, I was asleep with Mom & Dad in bed when I heard this loud sound outside. I remembered the TV weatherman talking about sirens to warn about tornadoes. I also remembered hearing Mom and Dad say the safest place for us to be was in her closet. So I got out of bed and walked toward Mom's closet. That's when Mom woke up and asked me what I was doing. I told her to listen, and she heard the sirens and woke up my Dad. Mom took pillows and laid down with me in her closet. Dad continued to watch the weather news from bed. Then the sirens stopped and we all went to sleep in bed. The rest of the weekend, the sirens came on and off but we didn't go to Mom's closet, we just watched the news. I am going to recommend that she doesn't buy any more shoes. Because if she does, we will not all be able to fit in her closet if a tornado really does come.

FuzzyWuzzy

Dear world,
Meet Fuzzy. He is my new brother. He already has a poem about him, but it is not accurate.
FuzzyWuzzy was a Bear. (No, actually, Fuzzy now has a brother Bear, he is not a bear.)
FuzzyWuzzy had no hair. (That is sort of true. When he was rescued he had a bad infection which made him lose his hair. But now it grew back.)
FuzzyWuzzy wasn't really fuzzy, wuzzy? (Yes, he really is fuzzy)
But I have a better poem for him...
What's all the buzz?
Its all about Fuzz.
In case ya don't know,
He's my new bro.
Love always,
Bear

Expectant Brother

Dear world,
Today my new brother is coming home. I am SO excited! The rescue lady said that he liked stuffed toys, so I asked Mom to get him one. Mom left and came back with a stuffed bear as well as flowers and a balloon. Not quite sure if he will care about the flowers, maybe the balloon, but it was a nice gesture. I couldn't believe she did not bring me a stuffed animal too! So I gave her this very sad look which made her feel guilty. Next thing I know, she leaves me again and comes back with the same bear, except in white. I liked the beige one better, but I thought it would be pushing it if I asked to switch.
Waiting is SO hard! I wish there was a waiting room to talk to other expectant brothers!
Love always,
Bear
