Earth Hour

Dear world,
Tonight at 8:30pm it is Earth Hour. I, Bear in Memphis, will join with people (and their pets) in 128 countries around the world, and turn the lights off in our house. Earth hour is a celebration of something we all have in common- planet Earth. But we also need to think beyond the hour. I asked Mom what she can do. She said she will try really hard to always remember to take the reusable canvas bags when she goes to the supermarket. I suggested that I could help by having less baths and sleeping later. Mom said I was on the right track, but I needed to think outside the Bear. What will you do beyond Earth Hour?
Love always,
Bear

  2. Bear, if everybody was like you the planet would be in better shape. I only use those canvas bags. Without a car I can carry 3 or 4 but I have like 10 bags, so I have no excuse in case I left a bag with some products on the floor. Tell your mom to buy twice the number of bags she thinks she needs.

  3. Thanks for the reminder. We will turn our lights off at 8:30 for sure. M will make better use of sisfur's gerbils as they are great little recycling machines. We already save toilet paper rolls, jello boxes, any cardboard box that food came in, etc. for the gerbils. More people should have Gerbils as pets cuz they do such a good job of recycling. Besides, they are fun entertainment for we kitties.
