Until we meet again

 Dear world,
Three and a half years ago, I decided to share my very special wonderful Bear with the world. Throughout his life he touched the heart of everyone who knew him both in person and virtually.
Yesterday afternoon, Bear passed very peacefully in our home, surrounded by love. I'm sure now he is sharing his love and BearHUGs with the other angels.
I will be doing a tribute on the blog soon. As you can imagine, it may take a while, since Bear took a big part of my heart with him to the Rainbow Bridge.
Love always,
Bear’s Mom

  7. Bear I will miss your smiling fur face just as much as I miss my baby girl Foxy's fur face. The joy you brought to my life is priceless. I am so thankful your Mom was gernerous enough to share you with the world. I hope you find love and all the the other angels at the rainbow bridge. 8. Ever since we first learned of Bear's blog, we have been devoted readers. Bear brought so much joy to everyone. We had adopted two goldens from Retrievers & Friends, and our latest, Bob, was so excited and proud of that connection with Bear that he had me write comments on his behalf. Thank you so much and many hugs for sharing Bear and his wonderful life and adventures. Please know that he touched so many pets and their families.

If everyone who comments on today's blog post would add their location to their post maybe it will add comfort for the family to know how far away we all tuned in to hear about Bear's adventures. 16. I have a big hole in my heart.

I read every blog that Bear posted since the very beginning, 3 years and a half ago. They were all a delight. Bear's mom could read Bear's mind and write for him. The blogs, beside being funny and entertaining, contained cultural issues and deep thoughts.

Bear shared the live of his family with the World. They became part of my life in a daily basis.

Bear, his mom and his dad will be on my mind forever.

  17. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU for sharing Bear with us. His posts always made me smile. He's one of the dogs I think about whenever I see a tennis ball or go swimming.

He was a great dog, especially for his photo shoot patience and ability to wear any costume happily, especially to make you (and his fans!) happy! You could tell he was a gentle, fun loving guy. Have tennis ball, will travel!

We are all here for you. You and bear touched EVERYONE you encountered. Ive been crying everytime a new friend finds out about Bear and i read their heartfelt message. Itll take everyone time to heal, so you take your time, but know we are here for you if you need us. I keep adding to this post but I don't think I could ever say enough so I will leave you with these. *gives big #bearhugs *

  19. Our hearts are broken at the loss of Bear. He was such a special friend, and always such a joy to see his photos. I can't believe he's gone - such a vibrant and happy woofie, taken way too soon.

I know he's at the bridge with our Inigo now, and they're watching over us... but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with such a loss.

You guys are in my thoughts, and I'm so very, very sorry for your loss.

  20. Oh dear, we are so saddened to hear this. As you know M has a special fondness for Goldens, and she was especially fond of Bear. We are so very very sorry for your loss. Our hearts are breaking here and we feel your pain. What a great dog. M said she wants to reach out and give you a hug in person, but she can't. So hopefully this virtual one will help a tiny bit instead. H U G !

  24. We're sorry to hear Bear has passed. The snippets of daily life in Bear's blog showed how much you loved each other and the joy you brought to each other's lives. He may have taken a piece of your heart with him to the Bridge, but I think he left a big piece of his heart here with you - to love and remember him forever.

  25. OurPeople have been very somber since Saturday, remembering their rescue pup Shadow the Black Cocker who went OTRB in March 2011. When good doggies are gone from our lives, they leave behind a huge hole. Good memories fill it up, but sometimes it takes a long while.

We're sending soothing loving purrs to your family and staying close to OurPeople. Extra special hugs to Rosy, Annie & Bunnybell. All of us love all of you so much!

  29. Just a week ago Bear said goodbye to you. When he closed his eyes for the last time I'm sure he was thinking of how much he loved you and what a wonderful life you had given to him. Even tho you were left with a loss that can't be expressed, he left you with so many cherished memories.

You said, "What made Bear happy was when he saw others happy." I want to honor him and try not to be sad. Thank you for letting us get to know Bear in such a way that we felt he was our best friend.

I will always love and remember YOUR Bear.

  31. My dear Bear, I am so very sorry to hear the sad news. I have not been on twitter for a few weeks and did not know. My mom cried reading what your mom wrote and how much she misses you. My mom misses me every day too! My mom wants to send her deepest condolences to your mom and warmest thoughts. The hardest part for our moms is to be apart from us when the day comes. My mom always think that one day she will meet me again, and I hope you and your mom will too. We always enjoy reading your blogs, your fun stories, and your adventures. Rest in peace Bear. We love you always! DCKitty & mom
