  1. This is so beautiful. I cannot remember every watching anything that made me laugh and cry so hard at the same time.

Your 'dog blog' was the first I found and I have watched it every day for almost a year. There are so many cute pics here that I haven't seen, though.

Bear was lucky to be so loved.

    Love,

  4. What a fantastic video with scenes of all the things Bear loved - tennis balls, costumes, the beach, pizza, burgers, going places with you, having fun with other dogs & people, and loving his mom & dad.

  5. Bear was an amazing dog. Maybe he stood still for the picture because his tennis ball was near by or maybe he love his mom so much and he did it because of that, because he knew his mom will love that moment. I'll never see a Golden Retriever without thinking about Bear. And I won't think about Bear without thinking about her loving mom.

  7. Happy Birthday Bear!! Our whole family watched your wonderful video with joyful hearts. It brings back many happy memories, especially all the holidays and celebrations of being so loving and alive. We recognized a lot of the hilarious costumes. Everyone was so proud of their creative mom and Bear always had something funny to say about the clothes. And the hats!

OurPeople have had a very difficult year, but Bear's stories and photos never failed to lift their spirits. Lately, just reading through Bear's blog again has brought laughter and many smiles to them. And you know, they've been thinking about the places that were visited where no dogs were allowed. They believe that Bear's spirit is going back to all of them to frolic and roll in the grass, go on the rides and have the best time ever! So Sweet Golden Boy gets the last laugh!!

We love all of you in Bear's family and are sending extra special love and loud purring today. Annabelle, Julie, Chin, Rocket, Zhaan, Daisy, Pom, Freddie, Violet, Nicky and Diana & Tim

I smiled not only because of his antics, but for the obvious love & adoration his human family had for him. Bear hugs to an amazing woof. xoxoxoxo

  13. Dear Bear's Mom,
What a beautiful, touching gift to honor Bear's birthday! We have been re-reading Bear's old blog postings -- like visiting an old friend each time -- so it was uplifting to say the least to see Bear and his siblings through the years in the video, along with all the love (and delicious pizza!) that he shared with his family. Even though we met Bear only virtually, it was as if he were a member of our own pack. He truly was a special, gorgeous being, with a wondrous ability to show us all the hip and brighter side of things, and patience in modeling the best pet costumes ever.

Thank you for all the smiles, even through the most difficult days, that you've given us with Bear's blog. And now with Rosy and Annie's blog, we're thrilled that the smiles that started with Bear will live on and keep spreading through the world.

HUGs to you and your family,
Linda and our gang of rescued goldens in Irvine
